Opportunity:
We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to oversee the payroll function at Resilience Lab. The Payroll Specialist will execute the organization's payroll functions for our corporate and clinical teams, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Responsibilities:
Implements, maintains, and prepares payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
Creates and maintains state level registrations for personnel mattersFacilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, internal controls, compliance, and taxes
Experience Computing Variable Compensation Payroll Structures
Experience with state and federal registrations and management of accounts
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
Experience with payroll software - bonus for experience with Rippling
Qualifications:
Three To Five Years Of Related Experience Required
Comfortable working in an early-stage startup with an aggressive growth strategy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment
Strong leadership skills, interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work effectively with a range of diverse groups
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information mindfully and effectively
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to flex between detail-oriented and big-picture thinking depending on the task
Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports to inform decision-making and problem solving
Compensation & Benefits:
