About The Role
Team “Vanguard” provides private and public APIs for customers, partners & Grow (Our internal Mobility Platform). Our mission is to help our stakeholders access, extend & customize Beamery’s data & workflows, as well as connect Beamery with the rest of the talent ecosystem. Working within this team you will:
What You Will Be Doing At Beamery
- Execute on projects, following through end-to-end starting with discovery & design; through to prototyping & implementation
- Work with key customers and partners to understand their needs, designing solutions to cover broad use-cases and enable integrations with our private & public APIs
- Work in a cross functional team where creativity is encouraged & providing a safe environment to share thoughts & ideas is at the top of the agenda. You’ll be a key player in positively shaping Beamery’s product, internal processes and culture
- Work on the Migration of our API’s, Legacy Go services to Typescript, working hands on with identity services, machine to machine authentication
- Maintain & enhance an API service that scales flawlessly and aims to be best in class. Expanding to take ownership and develop new identity services (authentication, authorization, SSO (Single Sign On))
- Share knowledge & best practices to continuously improve our product, technology & processes
- Solve businesses critical problems & strategize how we can use technology to make a real, positive social impact within the HR Tech space
- Be an advocate of DE&I within the workplace
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Expertise with Javascript/Typescript & Node.js as well as exposure to NoSQL databases would be advantageous. We are also open to speaking with engineers who are experienced in other programming languages who would be willing to learn our stack
- Solid experience building and operating backend systems in complex environments.
- Ensuring quality and reliability through unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
- A basic understanding of caching strategies for backend services and message queues.
- Exposure to DevOps, incident management and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting issues using instrumentation and logs.
- Demonstrating ownership and initiative with experience driving team projects from conceptualization to successfully delivering business value.
- An impact-focussed mindset aligned with agile principles.
- A sense of empathy for users, teammates, colleagues and partners.
