Versar is seeking a Jr. Technical Writer - SME to support the United States Coast Guard Acquisition Directorate (CG-9) at USCG Headquarters in Washington DC. The position has been approved to be remote; however, the selected candidate will need to be located in the MD/DC/VA area to report onsite for occasional meetings. this is a temporary position expected to start at the end of October and last approximately 8 weeks.

Responsibilities:

Writers and Authors - Originate and prepare written material, such as scripts, stories, advertisements, and other material.
A Subject Matter Expert is an individual whose qualifications and/or expertise are exceptional and/or highly unique. Subject. Matter Experts are typically identified as recognized Industry leaders for a given area of expertise. Subject Matter Experts typically perform the following kinds of functions:

Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff;
Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues;
Consults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4-6 years’ experience.

• BA in English or Creative Writing

• Ability to Obtain Public Trust/Secret if required
