Job Title: Information Security Specialist (15 positions)
Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid)
Type: 6+ Months Contract
Main Duties: Conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and maintaining metrics, implementing security policies, conducting vulnerability reviews, participating in ATO assessments, collaborating with teams to enhance security protocols, monitoring security systems, and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Additional Responsibilities: Preparing and presenting security reports, maintaining security documentation, and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, advanced degrees or certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, Sec+, CISSO, minimum 5 years’ experience in information security management, IT administration, or related fields, 3 years experience in implementing cyber assessment and remediation plans, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Specialized Experience: Experience in implementing ISO plans, tracking adoption rates, developing strategic plans, roadmaps, and business cases for new cybersecurity initiatives.
Required Qualifications: Graduate degree or certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, knowledge of industry standards and regulations, communication and collaboration skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, understanding of security protocols, experience in managing cybersecurity projects, project management skills, ability to travel to the Maryland Department of Information Technology office, familiarity with regulations related to information security and privacy.
