The team thrives in a collaborative, and make meaningful contributions to important projects client is seeking a Junior Data Scientist role is ideal for individuals passionate about data, possessing strong problem-solving skills independently.
The Role
As a Junior Data Scientist, you will work closely with senior team members to handle complex data tasks and contribute to the modernization of analytical- Use R programming (preferred) and/or Python to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
- Develop visualizations and analytical tools for various stakeholders, including geoscientists.
- Support senior data scientists by managing tasks and providing insights.
- Contribute to the rewrite and modernization of legacy software packages.
- Engage in independent problem-solving and research tasks.
- Attend regular mentorship sessions and participate in ongoing training and development activities.
Key Requirements:
- Knowledge with either hyperspectral Imaging OR X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF).
- PhD in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Expertise with R programming
- Expertise in Statistics
- Proven experience of working independently on research and problem-solving tasks.
