Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity
**This position can be filled at a 3H Associate Business Analyst or a 3G Business Analyst level**
The Business Analyst role will be responsible for supporting the Forward Flow (FF) team with the execution and analysis of monthly processes/reports, as well as providing critical ad hoc analysis. Forward Flow is an arrangement where a party commits to purchasing originated loans from another party and the credit risk is transferred to the purchasing party. Forward Flow arrangements can include auto loans, mortgages, personal loans & other loan types. As an integral part of the FF team, this person will be responsible for the monitoring and production of existing Power BI reports, the development of new reports, and the co-development of analytics models.
The Work Itself
- Work closely with FF team members to effectively develop, execute, and sustain monthly processes/reports in Power BI
- Responsible for the delivery of critical ad hoc analyses; design and develop solutions that maintain FF team operations
- Work closely with FFteam members to co-develop new areas of statistical analysis
- Responsible for resolving issues and mitigating risks, escalating issues/risks when appropriate
- Translate business partner requirements into technical specifications
Skills
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required; relevant field of study preferred (Finance or STEM) (Associate Business Analyst 3H & Business Analyst 3G)
- 1+ years of analytical experience required (Business Analyst 3G)
- Knowledge and experience using SQL strongly preferred (Associate Business Analyst 3H & Business Analyst 3G)
- Experience with Snowflake preferred (Associate Business Analyst 3H & Business Analyst 3G)
- Experience with Power BI preferred (Associate Business Analyst 3H & Business Analyst 3G)
- Experience with Python or R preferred (Associate Business Analyst 3H & Business Analyst 3G)
- Experience in business analytics preferred (Associate Business Analyst 3H & Business Analyst 3G)
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once (Associate Business Analyst 3H & Business Analyst 3G)
- Attention to detail and strong focus on quality
- Strong sense of curiosity and an ability to think creatively towards solutions
- Professional communication across roles and functions throughout the organization

Base Pay Range: $55000 - $95000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
