Overview
The Data Analyst will support MANCON’s operations through data analytics projects primarily related to inventory levels, sales, and supply chain operations . These projects may monitor performance, identify trends, measure key performance indicators (KPIs) and forecast demand . The results of these projects will be communicated to internal stakeholders , suppliers, vendors, and customers . The Data Analyst will report to the Supply Chain Management Operations Manager.
This is NOT a remote position. The Data Analyst will be based out of MANCON's Virginia Beach Corporate Office.
Responsibilities
- Monitor data interchanges to ensure timely transfers of data
- Monitor ERP data for data anomalies, investigate its cause, and make recommendations to remedy
- Implement data integrity rules and validations
- Perform QA on contractually required KPI
- Develop and execute projects to enhance supply chain operations
- Establish and maintain relationships with coworkers, customers, and vendors
- Work with software developer s to design , test, and deploy reports , screens , dashboards, data interfaces to support and improve supply chain operations and me e t customer requirements.
- Work with software developer s to troubleshoot and resolve database issues to ensure data integrity
- Extract, process, validate , and analyze data sets. E xamples include :
- Vendor purchases by geographic area
- Price analysis for brand of items
- Cost savings for a customer or project
- Analysis of obsolete inventory
- P erform bulk data uploads and changes
Qualifications
- Experience with data analysis tools including Excel and SQL
- Understanding of software development process
- Detail-oriented and excellent analytical skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5- years’ experience as a data analyst or comparable position
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central, Power BI, or Jet Reports
- Experience with inventory and/or sales data sets
Physical Requirements
Light work - Frequently exerting up to 20 pounds of force possibly using arm and/or leg control. Work is still primarily sedentary work with occasional walking and standing.
