Position Overview: The Marketing Manager plays a crucial role in shaping the brand and driving the marketing strategies for Alila Ventana Big Sur. This dynamic position demands creativity, initiative, and exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with guests and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational and project management skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The individual is expected to operate with minimal supervision, reporting to the Area Director of Sales and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an integrated marketing plan that align with the property’s strategic objectives
- Develop and coordinate advertising campaigns, print collateral, digital marketing initiatives, and public relations efforts in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies.
- Identify and cultivate local marketing opportunities and partnerships for the resort’s services, including events, catering, food & beverage, spa and programming
- Organize and execute media events, media visits, and photo shoots to enhance brand awareness and guest engagement.
- Collaborate with regional and corporate teams to implement brand marketing strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform marketing tactics and optimize outreach.
- Represent Alila Ventana Big Sur at relevant industry events, and community engagements to promote the brand and build partnerships.
- Foster strong relationships with local media, influencers, and community organizations to maximize publicity opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related field (Preferred not required)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a marketing or communications role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Luxury resort experience is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in content and performance marketing initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling content.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for hospitality and a deep understanding of the luxury market.

Salary: The salary range for this position is $66,100 to $95,700. This is the pay rate for this position at Ventana Big Sur, and Alila Resort reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factor including experience, and training levels.
