Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our team in the banking sector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in understanding business requirements, analyzing processes, and delivering solutions that meet both business objectives and regulatory standards. The Business Analyst will act as a liaison between stakeholders, technical teams, and management to ensure effective communication and delivery of banking projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process Analysis: Analyse existing banking processes, workflows, and systems, identifying gaps and proposing improvements to optimize efficiency and customer experience.
• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and identify the root causes of problems, system issues, or business process inefficiencies to prevent recurrence and enhance operational performance.
• Issue Resolution: Proactively manage and resolve issues identified during the development and implementation of banking solutions. Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and external partners to identify solutions and minimize operational disruptions.
• Data Quality Management: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of banking data by identifying and addressing data quality issues. Work with stakeholders to implement processes that maintain high data quality standards.
• Data Analysis: Use data analytics tools to analyse banking data and generate insights for business decisions, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clarity and understanding of business needs and deliverables.
• Project Management Support: Assist in project planning, tracking progress, identifying risks, and ensuring the timely delivery of solutions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all banking solutions adhere to relevant regulations and compliance standards (e.g., AML, KYC, Basel, etc.).
• Reporting: Create reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate progress, results, and any issues encountered during projects.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in banking operations, customer service, and technology.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of banking products, services, processes, and regulations.
• Proven experience with data analysis and tools such as Excel, SQL, or business intelligence software.
• Expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies to effectively identify and solve problems.
• Strong understanding of Data Quality principles, including data governance, validation, and cleansing techniques.
• Understanding of core banking systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements like AML, KYC, Basel III, etc.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in business process modelling and workflow analysis.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Agile methodologies and SCRUM practices.
• Familiarity with digital banking trends and FinTech solutions.
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP)
