Sr IT Project Manager

Location: 100% Remote (Must be in Texas)

Contract Duration: 6 Months

About the Role:

Our financial industry client is seeking a seasoned Sr IT Project Manager to lead complex, large-scale IT projects. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring successful delivery within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

Define project scope, goals, and deliverables
Develop and maintain detailed project plans
Manage project resources, including budget, timeline, and team members
Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues
Facilitate communication between project stakeholders
Ensure adherence to project methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
Prepare and present project status reports to senior leadership

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in Project Management
5+ years of experience managing IT projects, with a strong preference for FinTech or financial technology projects
Experience with payments platform replacement or loan processing systems
Proven ability to successfully manage both Agile and Waterfall projects (experience driving Agile transformations is a plus)
Demonstrated experience managing complex projects lasting over 1 year
Minimum of $3 million in financial project experience, including projects with external stakeholders and third parties
Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal, external, and C-level stakeholders
Proficiency in MS Project is essential
