We are in the midst of revolutionizing our core capabilities to maximize service and mission outcomes. This will include an integrated platform for relationship and people management, learning, intranet and data warehouse. In order to achieve all this, we are now recruiting for a strong, experienced Data Analyst to join our CRM team.
The Data Analyst will lead the data migration efforts required for the implementation of Salesforce technology solutions tied to The Salvation Army’s digital transformation program. They will support implementation of the Data Migration strategy and working with key stakeholders and external partners in the process to collect, cleanse, transform and load data into our future enterprise systems.
What You Will Do In This Role
Data Analysis
- Undertake essential data integrity, complex queries, analytic and report generation tasks and conduct data consistency and quality checks.
- Create custom queries and use tools to mine our data to drive decision making around our data migration strategy.
- Provide relevant weekly/monthly status reporting to program leadership.
- Review processes and make recommendations to improve data accuracy, quality, capture and tracking.
- Implement database tracking and dashboards for metrics and reporting to ensure progress is measured, evaluated, and continually improved.
- Identify, solve and/or escalate issues/risks/decision and implement the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate risk/issues in order to minimize the impact on the project.
Data Migration - Work with internal stakeholders and System Integrators in gathering business requirements for data migration needs and data mapping requirements.
- Work with subject matter experts and project team to identify, define, collate, document and communicate the data migration requirements.
- Prepare data migration plans including migration risk, milestones, quality and business sign-off details in conjunction with the implementation Team.
- Perform source system data analysis in order to manage source to target data mapping.
- Perform migration and testing of static data and transaction data from one core system to another.
- Perform data migration audit, reconciliation and exception reporting.
- Manage data assurance for physical data items in source and target systems.
- Oversee and ensure:
- The production of a mapping matrix for all data.
- Gap analysis for any missing data.
- Data extraction, conversion, and uploading plans and execution.
- Data validations are appropriately controlled and performed.
What You Bring To The Table
- A university degree in computer science or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of BI/Analytics platforms required. Certifications are asset.
- Experience with ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, MuleSoft, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, objects, fields, relationships, and data migration best practices
- Data analysis/migration project experience leading and participating in Cloud-based/SaaS system implementation migration projects.
- Experience of working in complex, multi-systems / companies and in high priority and highly visible projects
- Proficiency in data analysis, mapping, cleansing, and transformation techniques
- Ability to analyze complex requirements, troubleshoot issues, and propose effective solutions
- Experience working in an Agile environment.,

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $71,318 (min.) to $109,971 (max). Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
