Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Los Angeles, USA

Department/Unit: Operating Room

Shift: Variable Shift (starts at 10 AM, 4 shifts of 10 hours)

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Salary Range: $40 - $55 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a surgical environment and eager to grow within a supportive healthcare team. This position involves working variable shifts with a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the operating room.
Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures, including sterilization and setup of instruments.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia levels during surgery.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding pre-operative and post-operative care.
Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Participate in on-call duties as required (1-2 days per week and 1 weekend per month minimum).

Qualifications

Current RN licensure in the state of California.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room setting preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
