La division Chief Operating Officer (COO) d'Autodesk est à la recherche d'un
architecte logiciel Frontend ayant une grande experience dans le developpement d'experiences frontales web modernes, evolutives, maintenables et securisees. La division COO est responsable de la construction et de la maintenance d'experiences web de pointe qui touchent des millions de clients chaque mois.
En tant que membre de l'equipe d'architecture de COO, vous stimulerez l'innovation et ameliorerez continuellement les experiences utilisateur (UX) pour les clients internes et externes. Vous serez rattache(e) à un architecte de renom au sein de l'organisation COO. Ce poste offre la possibilite de travailler à distance, à condition que vous puissiez vous adapter aux fuseaux horaires nord-americains pour vos heures de travail regulières.

Responsabilites
- Mener des discussions techniques au sein d'equipes et d'organisations diverses dans un environnement matriciel
- Encadrer les developpeurs sur les technologies emergentes et existantes, ainsi que sur les possibilites de developpement de carrière
- Évaluer la faisabilite d'orientations alternatives dans le developpement d'architectures et de plates-formes futures par la modelisation et le prototypage
- s'assurer que les architectures selectionnees repondent aux critères de qualite souhaites, tels que la securite, l'evolutivite et la resilience
- guider la conception, l'architecture et la mise en œuvre d'applications web progressives, de pages web et de micro-frontaux
- Concevoir et mettre en œuvre un code de haute qualite pour des domaines complexes
- Collaborer etroitement avec les chefs de produit, les architectes et les autres parties prenantes pour traduire les besoins de l'entreprise, l'architecture du système et les exigences du produit en logiciels bien conçus et mis en œuvre
- Évangeliser et distribuer des informations techniques
- Presenter aux cadres superieurs d'Autodesk des initiatives architecturales cles et obtenir d'eux des informations et des commentaires

Qualifications Minimales
- Baccalaureat en informatique ou dans une discipline d'ingenierie connexe
- Une combinaison equivalente d'etudes et d'experience sera egalement prise en consideration
- Plus de 10 ans d'experience en tant qu'ingenieur ou architecte logiciel, avec un fort accent sur les technologies cloud
- Competences exceptionnelles en matière de communication orale et ecrite en anglais, avec la capacite de transmettre des idees complexes de manière claire et efficace
- Solides competences en matière de leadership, avec une experience dans l'orientation et le mentorat d'equipes diversifiees

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) division at Autodesk is looking for a
Frontend Software Architect with extensive experience in developing modern, scalable, maintainable, and secure web front-end experiences. The COO division is responsible for building and maintaining cutting-edge web experiences that reach millions of customers every month.
As a member of the COO architecture team, you will drive innovation and continually improve user experiences (UX) for both internal and external customers. You will report to a Distinguished Architect within the COO organization. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely, assuming you can accommodate North American time zones for your regular working hours.
Preference for candidates hybrid/remote near one of our US or Canada offices (San Francisco, Portland, Atlanta, Boston, Novi, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver). Open to hybrid/remote candidates in North America PT through ET zones.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions across diverse teams and organizations in a matrix setting
- Mentor developers on emerging and existing technologies, as well as career development paths
- Evaluate the feasibility of alternative directions in future architecture/platform development through modeling and prototyping
- Ensure selected architectures achieve desired quality attributes such as security, scalability, and resilience
- Guide the design, architecture, and implementation of progressive web apps, web pages, and micro frontends
- Design and implement high-quality code for complex areas
- Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to translate business needs, system architecture, and product requirements into well-designed and implemented software
- Evangelize and distribute technical information.
- Present to and gain insights and feedback from senior Autodesk management on key architectural initiatives
- Contribute to both near and long-term technology roadmaps
- Champion industry best practices
- Act as a subject matter expert in established and emerging web technologies and standards such as Material UI, React, Redux, Web Components, Web Workers, WASM, WebGPU, client-side caching, accessibility, and progressive device capability utilization
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
- 10+ years of experience as a software engineer or architect, with a strong focus on cloud technologies
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in guiding and mentoring diverse teams
- Demonstrated success in leading the architecture for commercial SaaS applications that are globally deployed at massive scale
- High levels of ownership and a collaborative spirit, working seamlessly to consistently deliver high-quality results
- Extensive knowledge of frontend development tools, languages, and frameworks, along with an understanding of their appropriate applications
- In-depth understanding of the latest paradigms in building modern and responsive web experiences at scale, including micro frontend architectures, Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), various design systems, and expertise in multiple web frameworks and REST/GraphQL APIs
- Hands-on experience with architectural patterns such as Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) and Model-View-Controller (MVC)
- Proven experience in building fully automated development workflows, including validation, adherence to best practice guidelines, builds, and deployments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in desktop UX development and mobile development

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $159,100 and $257,400. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
