Administer and support a program, or a segment of a larger program, within a single unit under general supervision. Responsible for making recommendations and resolving routine first-level decisions on issues regarding admission, financial aid, housing, registrar services, visa services, student life, advising, career counseling, and academic services using defined policies, practices, and professional knowledge. Provide advice to students on a range of issues to guide them in making appropriate decisions. The role deals with moderately complex problems, requiring analysis of various factors and exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices.
CORE DUTIES:
- Oversee and review student records: Analyze data, counsel students, and provide recommendations that influence decisions.
- Make exceptions: Handle eligibility, course enrollment, and program requirement issues.
- Collaborate with staff and faculty: Resolve programmatic issues across departments (e.g., strategizing optimal enrollment).
- Student guidance: Advise on academic progress, policies, career plans, and community standards.
- Data collection and reporting: Analyze feedback, surveys, and trend reports; prepare summaries and recommend program enhancements.
- Policy recommendations: Advise management on policy updates based on student feedback and trends.
- Technology implementation: Participate in the implementation and testing of new systems.
- Marketing and outreach: Develop materials for program activities, and assist in organizing webinars and education fairs.
- Financial administration: Oversee reimbursements, data entry, and resolve issues with vendor contracts.
- Supervision: Train and supervise other staff, volunteers, and student workers.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
