We are seeking an experienced Golang Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in our system’s evolution, collaborating with both the high-level REST API and the foundational C libraries for managing containers and virtual machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and document system-level Go code to oversee core cloud infrastructure.
- Model data, architect database schemas, and manage data storage utilizing dqlite (SQL).
- Ensure code quality through rigorous static analysis, unit testing, and system testing.
- Engage proactively with a distributed team to brainstorm and tackle technical challenges.
- Work remotely with opportunities for occasional travel (2-4 weeks/year) for internal and external team events.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Go and C programming languages.
- Strong grasp of networking and storage technologies.
- Practical experience with cloud computing, virtualization, containers, distributed systems, or open-source initiatives.
- A collaborative, inquisitive, and flexible mindset.
- Excellent communication abilities and capacity to work independently.
