Job Overview
Join our esteemed team of construction project management professionals as an Assistant Project Manager (APM) specializing in hotel renovation and construction projects. We are looking for a proactive and solutions-oriented individual with a passion for managing intricate projects and a commitment to client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager (PM) and field team throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-construction to closeout.
- Ensure project goals are met by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of scope and status.
- Participate in regular meetings with hotel ownership to uphold transparency and communication.
- Manage change orders and ensure clarity regarding Statement of Work (SOW) modifications.
- Oversee key metrics and milestones to uphold quality standards and project timelines.
- Support project coordination during the pre-construction, active construction, and closeout phases.
- Draft SOW documents and facilitate effective communication of project scope.
- Vet subcontractors and maintain compliance and productive relationships.
- Address and resolve field issues in collaboration with subcontractors and field teams.
- Coordinate payment inquiries and review vendor and subcontractor payments.
- Monitor, manage, and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change orders (COs).
- Generate and distribute logs in adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support the project management team with weekly and monthly updates for client distribution.
- Maintain organized project records and provide general project assistance as required.
- Ensure adherence to construction and hotel brand compliance standards.

Qualifications

- Willingness to travel up to 25% for project needs
- Familiarity with traveling construction teams is preferred
- Experience with PlanGrid and Bluebeam is advantageous
