Description
We are looking for an Inventory Clerk to support our team in Santa Barbara, California. This role involves assisting with all aspects of inventory and production coordination, including inventory movement, data integrity, and communication with factories and internal departments. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and revision of production plans under the guidance of the Manager
- Ensure accurate data input for inventory and production reports
- Coordinate inventory transfers between facilities and assist with inventory verification processes
- Conduct inventory analysis projects as needed and monitor product statuses at the warehouse
- Assist with the communication of weekly, monthly, or seasonal reports to internal and external teams
- Update system information as necessary to maintain accurate data
- Assist with the verification of UPC codes on new and updated labels in InMotion software
- Provide support to the Supply Chain Team as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Handle production processing through Sage and update forecast data into the master schedule as changes are provided by sales.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory management or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in the use of automated inventory management systems
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift and move inventory as needed
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required
- Knowledge of inventory regulations and best practices is preferred
- Experience in data entry and record keeping
- Familiarity with the use of warehouse equipment and inventory software
- Problem-solving skills and ability to address discrepancies and inconsistencies in inventory records
- Willingness to comply with all company policies and operational procedures.
