The Principal IT Analyst leads the design, implementation, and management of data systems that support business decision-making processes. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership to ensure that data solutions align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Lead the design and development of data models, reports, and dashboards to provide insights and drive decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and define key business metrics and translate them into actionable data insights.
- Conduct complex data analysis to detect trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Data Systems Management:
- Implementation and maintenance of data platforms, databases, and data warehouses.
- Ensure high-quality data integration across multiple sources, including ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems.
- Implement best practices for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and processing.
- Data Quality:
- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure data quality standards are maintained, including data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to protect data assets and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver data solutions that support business goals.
- Communicate data insights and technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership to influence strategic decision-making.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis, data management, or data engineering roles
- Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik)
- Deep understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex data projects
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Understanding of AI Tools and technologies
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Snowflake
- Certification in data management, or related fields is a plus
