Job Details:
Role: Database Developer
Location: Alpharetta, GA/ Hybrid
Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:
- Programming using SQL and PL/SQL and related technologies
- Query turning and optimization
- Provide solutions to the data engineering challenges
- Work as part of a banking Agile Squad
- Work in the Agile development methodologies, collaborating with business and technology teams located globally
- Candidate must have good communication skills and have the ability to lead IT deliverables
- Actively contribute and participate in sprint grooming and planning discussions, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies
Skills Required:
- 8+ years of experience working with highly available and large volume databases
- Deep understanding of database concepts and related technologies
- Strong experience in database SQL and PL/SQL programming with DB2 & SQL Server databases
- Hands-on experience with performance tuning, optimizing database queries, etc.
- Hands-on experience with high performance data processing
- Hands-on experience with tools for Version Control, Job Scheduling, etc.
- Experience in collaborating with partners and stakeholders across geography and time zones
- Good communication skills and should be able to work across both Business Users and IT teams
- across geographical regions and time zones as well as the ability to lead IT deliverables
- Practical working experience in Agile development methodologies
Skills Desired:
- Understanding of requirements of large enterprise applications (security, entitlements, etc.)
- Understanding of modern databases ( NoSQL, Cloud based etc.)
- Exposure to Snowflake
Education:
- Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
