The IKO Marketing and Data Analyst is primarily responsible for working within the company’s marketing database to execute and support marketing initiatives. He or she will develop and execute fact-based reporting, analysis, and analytical models in a way that improves decision-making across the Marketing department. This is an in-office position weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (37.5-hour work week) in IKO's corporate headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide actionable overall market and customer insights to address key strategic questions.
- Track, report, and analyze the performance of marketing activities.
- Develop, automate, and deliver regular reports and responses to ad-hoc requests.
- Generate monthly sales and distribution reports using Excel.
- Analyze external and internal customer data using database queries (SQL, Access), spreadsheet (Excel) models, web analytics tools (Adobe/Omniture), statistical analysis tools, and campaign management software tools.
- Evaluate customers’ online behavior and provide insights and recommendations for further enhancements to the guest experience.
- Analyze A/B and multi-variate tests, communicate results, and provide recommendations.
- Create PowerPoint presentations to provide market and consumer insights to other marketing and sales departments.
- Advise other marketing functions (e-commerce/website, online/offline advertising, brand, product development) as the knowledge owner for customer and market data.
- Work with our public relations company (T2) and/or some of our customers as requested to support data collection, processing, and analysis.
- Manage internal data files to help manage new products, obsolete products, or general data management according to the company’s needs.
- Configure files as needed based on clients’/carriers’ plan requirements according to analysis/specifications.
- Test new and existing file transmissions to ensure the accuracy of clients’/carriers’ requirements.
- Research and resolve client/carrier inquiries regarding system and process issues.
Qualifications
- Results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills (both oral and written) with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization with sensitivity to cultural diversity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint), with emphasis on strong Excel skills
- Comfortable with Google Analytics
- Comfortable with Social Media Mining
- Strong design skills are a plus
- Experience working with the following is helpful, but not required: SQL, Access, Adobe, Omniture, Codify, Lead 411, ZoomInfo, CRM
- Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available
- Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing, walking, grasping, and lifting/moving up to 25 pounds
- May be required to work beyond normal business hours as required by IKO
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; 1-3 years in Marketing/Data Analytics preferred
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English
- No supervisory experience is required
