Business Analyst
Our client is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join their team and drive business process improvements, technical support, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis and project management, with experience in data and analytics.
This role is fully remote.
Business Analyst Responsibilities
- Analyze business processes and existing functionality, strategizing and developing recommendations to enhance internal efficiencies or improve the customer experience.
- Support leadership by providing technical advisement in the evaluation of current processes.
- Provide ongoing technical support for the production environment, diagnosing and resolving production application questions and issues.
- Participate in negotiations with solution providers/vendors, acting as a technical advisor to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Conduct feasibility analysis of selected solutions before final selection.
- Explore diverse perspectives and demonstrate sensitivity towards differences in cultural norms, expectations, and communication styles.
- Facilitate requirement work sessions between business and analytics teams.
- Wireframe or prototype with business stakeholders to refine requirements.
- Provide tactical and operational support for the Analytics and Data Governance body.
- Translate operational and commercial requirements into technical specifications for data engineers, business intelligence analysts, and data scientists.
Business Analyst Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, computer science, engineering, economics, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of business analysis and project management experience, particularly in the data and analytics domain.
- 2+ years of experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for documenting requirements.
- 3+ years of SQL experience, with the ability to query databases and data lakes.
- Exposure to Power BI and data lakes is a plus.
- Strong business acumen, understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs), and ability to facilitate the development of metrics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, uncover trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, trend detection, and data interpretation.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and collaborative communication skills.
