Senior Program Manager
Location Address: Hybrid - Toronto– need candidates in GTA
Contract Duration: 12 months
Business group: GWE - Product Strategy, Wealth Technology – build experiences for both clients and advisors for wealth groups across the organization
Project: To manage wealth critical projects – re-engineering project within client lifecycle management / ecosystem – client transactions, onboarding, maintenance
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate 845 squad leadership daily update
• Strategically organize the work – break down tasks with outcomes and due dates
• Ensure leadership communication is on track, creating strategic communications and presentations
• Executive, project reporting – drafting steerco slides
• Anticipate outcomes in advance, uncovering risks and building a plan
• Priority and risk focused
• Navigate through different parts of the org, to remove roadblocks
• Managing day-to-day program deliverables
• If a trigger is being pulled from an escalation, will need to investigate
• Provide feedback on test plans and processes
• Driving technical resources to ensure they are working with other Leads so they are all aligned to maintain flow across the project – at times could entail operational readiness
• Work closely with project managers of related projects
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 10+ Program Manager experience in financial services
2) Agile experience – a strong understanding of and experience in agile delivery
3) Demonstrated leadership skills leading project teams of 5-10+
4) Technical proficiency to demonstrate understanding of SDLC life cycle
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Wealth domain experience
2) Experience with Microsoft suite incl. Visio
3) JIRA, Confluence experience
4) GCP, Azure – Cloud platforms experience (GCP preferred)
5) Pega experience
Agile certifications an asset (CSM, Scrum)
PMP, PMI certifications an asset
Best VS. Average Candidate:
Very strong soft skills, with technical expertise, experience leading complex projects/programs, wealth domain experience
- must have #4: Technical proficiency to demonstrate understanding of SDLC life cycle – meaning not necessarily classical IT infrastructure project experience but can demonstrate understanding of software builds etc. on projects
Candidate Review & Selection
2-3 rounds - mix of in person and MS Teams Video interviews - TBD closer to interviews
1st – with Director of Engineering and Director Client enablement – wealth – 45 minutes – behavioral, scenario-based questions
2nd – with VP – Advisor and client experience technology, Managing Director of platform engineering and potentially more – 30-45 minutes
