IT Specialist Job Description
We are expanding our IT team to support our company’s growth. We are seeking an experienced and motivated IT Specialist who will provide comprehensive technical support, ensuring the seamless operation of our application, infrastructure, and network systems.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide desktop support, server management, and network administration, troubleshooting end-user requests in a timely manner. Security & Incident Response: Monitor environments for suspicious activity and threats, responding promptly to security alerts in line with company standards. Client Communication: Clearly communicate technical information to staff and clients through phone, in person, and in writing, ensuring clear documentation of client interactions via internal ticketing systems. Professionalism & Confidentiality: Handle client data with professionalism and confidentiality, ensuring the integrity of mission-critical environments. Hybrid Environment Support: Provide IT support for both HQ (on-site) and remote NYC offices.
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of advanced troubleshooting experience in networking, servers/OS, desktop support, and virtualization. Experience in a Managed Services or Managed Security Operations Center (MSOC) helpdesk environment is preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficient in Server 2019 and its various roles, including Active Directory, DNS, and Remote Desktop Gateway. Strong knowledge of cloud-based services such as Office 365, Azure AD, and G Suite. Experience in QoS and firewall networking (Dell SonicWALL firewall experience is a plus). Familiarity with Asana and Slack for documentation and team collaboration. Knowledge of CRMs like Pipedrive and Salesforce is highly desirable. Website development skills are a plus (not required) for updates and development of marketing landing pages.
