The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a seasoned communicator with deep experience across the aerospace and defense industry to serve as the senior account manager. While you will be the main account lead, you will be paired with a partner and an account coordinator.
To be successful in this role, you need to be the type of person who takes ownership and deeply cares about the success of the place you work, and the clients you serve. You must be comfortable jumping into new sectors and getting up to speed quickly, with a focus on bottom-line impact.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of aerospace, industrials, or defense communications experience or 3 years of aerospace, industrials, or defense communications when paired with at least 4 years of agency experience.
- Experience building and executing marketing and communications strategies.
- Experience pitching and securing earned media, awards, and speaking engagements.
- Creative writer with the ability to spot trends and weave them into your pitches and op-eds.
- Comfortable networking on behalf of yourself and clients’ skills.
- Team player who has the natural ability to rally others.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to read the room and communicate strategically.
- History of generating and editing award submissions, press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, biographies, reports, briefing books, contributed articles, speaking opportunity abstracts, pitches, Q&As, and general marketing materials.
- Effectively prioritize responsibilities based on impact, timelines, workflow, and client goals.
- A quiet environment free of distractions with the ability to take on-camera meetings during standard working hours.
At the core, we are looking for a team player who will jump in and do whatever is needed for the success of the client and our agency. This hire will play a big role in the growth and success of our agency. Please note, this role is client-facing and requires direct account work and management.
While this is a full-time w-2 position, we are open to part-time or 1099 contractors, for the right fit.

Competitive Pay. Pay includes a salary that is commensurate with experience, business development commissions, and an annual bonus that increases according to hours billed.
Work from Home. While Austin TX based candidates are highly preferred, this role will be mainly remote. Travel is likely less than 10% of the time.
Paid Time-Off. Four weeks paid vacation plus standard holidays.
Access to the retirement plan upon implementation. We are planning to implement a retirement plan over the next year.
