Key Responsibilities
Role
In the role of Project Engineer/Project Manager, you will be integral to civil and site design, land planning, and permitting across a diverse range of projects, which include:
- Athletic and Recreation Facilities: Leverage your expertise in designing and planning facilities for municipal, K-12, and higher education sectors.
- Team Coordination: Work collaboratively with team members to ensure successful project completion while adhering to established quality control protocols.
- Project Deliverables: Prepare comprehensive construction documents, technical reports, and accurate cost estimates.
- Project Management: Manage project billing, invoicing, and staffing forecasts to ensure efficient project flow.
- Mentorship: Guide and nurture junior staff through mentorship, fostering their professional growth and contributing to the organization’s success.
- Business Development: Play a role in crafting proposals and responding to requests for proposals and qualifications.
- Client Engagement: Serve as a representative of our firm in client meetings, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Civil 3D.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to lead design teams and mentor junior staff.
- Familiarity with sustainable design applications and permitting processes in Florida.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- 7-10 years of comprehensive experience in civil design, including hydrology, grading, and utilities across various development types.
- Familiarity with state and local permitting practices and experience with Water Management Districts (SJRWMD, SWFWMD, SFWMD).
