SVP, Enterprise Program Management
ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT
The Senior Vice President Enterprise Program Management is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of all enterprise-wide programs and projects. This role ensures that all initiatives align with the credit union's strategic goals and objectives, and are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The SVP will lead a team of project managers and business analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the EPMO strategy, ensuring alignment with the credit union's overall business strategy.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all enterprise-wide programs and projects.
- Establish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and business analysts.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor and report on the status of all projects, providing regular updates to the executive team.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Emphasize the importance of change management, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new processes and systems across the organization.
- Manage dependencies and tasks across all impacted areas, including information technology, operations, marketing, and business lines, to ensure cohesive and coordinated project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of successful experience with Enterprise Portfolio, Program, and Project Management or related functions in a financial services organization.
- 10+ years of successful management experience working with Information Technology project, resources, and leadership.Certified Scrum Master or similar certification preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and align projects with business goals.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to manage and lead project managers and scrum leaders, providing effective coaching and development to enhance their skills and performance. Demonstrated success in fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to create and deliver compelling executive and board-level presentation materials and updates, ensuring clear communication of key messages, strategic insights, and actionable recommendations.
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly at organizations with assets exceeding $20 billion, is highly desirable.
- PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification is preferred.
- Experience with software conversions, and mergers and acquisitions is required.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and adherence within the financial services industry is essential.
