Job Overview:
The Head of Data and Insights, Americas will be responsible for developing and leading the overall data strategy, ensuring it aligns with MCoBeauty’s business goals in the Americas region. This leader will manage data analytics, consumer insights, and market intelligence initiatives. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders across the business and providing commercial insight to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data analytics, consumer behavior, and the beauty industry, along with a proven ability to create data-driven strategies that drive results.
Key responsibilities:
Providing Commercial Insight: Leverage data analytics to produce and analyze commercial insights that inform business decisions. Provide the leadership team with data-driven recommendations on pricing, customer segmentation, and sales strategy.
Developing a Strategic Vision: Create and lead the strategic vision for data and insights in the Americas region, ensuring alignment with the business’s overall goals. Establish long-term data strategies to support growth, performance optimization, and competitive differentiation.
Leading Data Projects: Design, execute, and manage data-driven projects that provide relevant, timely, and actionable insights. Ensure these projects address critical business needs across functions such as marketing, sales, and product development. Including reviewing and recommending the right data partners to work with.
Collaborating with Stakeholders: Work closely with key stakeholders from various departments (marketing, sales, supply, etc.) to understand their business objectives and provide tailored data insights and recommendations that drive value.
Providing Thought Leadership: Act as a thought leader within the company by continuously offering insights on how data can be better leveraged to enhance business outcomes. Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations in data analytics to position MCoBeauty as a data-driven leader.
Build insights and data competency across the business: Lead the design and development of dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments. Translate complex data sets into easy-to-understand insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Analyze market trends, consumer feedback, and competitor performance to identify opportunities and threats. Provide strategic recommendations to the leadership team for product and market positioning.
- Predictive Analytics & Forecasting: Develop predictive models to forecast consumer demand, sales performance, and market trends. Support long-term business planning with data-driven forecasts and risk analysis.
- Team Leadership: lead and mentor commercial data analyst(s).
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics, consumer insights, or market intelligence, preferably in the beauty, cosmetics, or consumer goods industry
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and data visualization platforms such as Power BI and Tableau
- Experience designing and executing data projects and developing strategic data initiatives
- Proven track record of developing data-driven strategies that drive business outcomes
- Strong leadership skills with experience scaling teams and establishing best practices in data management and governance
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for business leaders
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with senior leadership
