CTG has a remote long-term contract opening (could be contract to hire) for a Quality (QA) Engineer.
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation/Manual Engineer to enhance our team's capability to deliver exceptional software solutions. In this role, you will be instrumental in refining our software quality assurance lifecycle by collaborating closely with development teams to devise test strategies and create both automated and manual tests to ensure our releases meet the highest standards. Your expertise will also be critical in maintaining our CI processes and resolving system issues.
Duties
- Drive the software quality assurance lifecycle within Agile/waterfall methodologies.
- Establish and coordinate test strategies with development and product teams.
- Design and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Develop and execute both automated and manual UI and functional tests.
- Enhance and maintain automated Continuous Integration (CI) flows.
- Review and validate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) results.
- Troubleshoot issues in systems under test.
Skills
- Proficiency in acceptance testing and manual testing methodologies.
- Experience with automation testing tools, specifically Selenium or similar.
- Strong understanding of API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Familiarity with version control, defect tracking, and test management tools (e.g., ADO, JIRA, RCLM).
- Knowledge of SQL databases.
Experience
- 8+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test.
- Proven experience in web application testing and Continuous Integration processes.
- Demonstrated success in automating tests for client-server and web applications.
Education
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $55.00/hour to $65.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
