Position Overview: The Marketing Graphic Designer is first and foremost a graphic designer at heart and in skill. This role requires them to use their creativity and design skills to create visual assets to communicate our services and capabilities. These visual assets are used in advertising, promotion, and online presence. They aim to create impactful designs that align with HCT’s brand identity to appeal to our customers. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, the Marketing Designer has a pivotal role on the HCT Marketing Team.
The Marketing Designer position requires a candidate who lives in Adobe Creative Suite. Whether printed or digitally, this visual storyteller strategically considers style guides, brand intent and translates information into beautiful emails, presentations, social posts, and other artwork for marketing purposes. By collaborating with other team members, the Marketing Designer can produce internal/external visual communications and graphics assets across various digital and printed outputs. The main function of this position will be the creation of 2D graphics for email, social media, presentations, websites, and other marketing and communication assets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to design and compose visual and narrative information into consistent, meaningful, and communicative graphics assets and presentations.
- Develop graphic presentation decks for approvals and print files for vendors, reviewing proofs and overseeing all stages from initiation to completion for graphics as required.
- Produce and refresh graphics and layouts for advertising and marketing campaigns, covering social media graphics, website graphics, emails, infographics, display ads, catalogs, presentations, and tradeshow booth artwork.
- Manage resources like photography for projects and campaigns.
- Post-production enhancements on photography, renders, presentations, and other graphics.
- Participates in the creation of campaign themes, look, and feel.
- Knowledge of file formats for different platforms like Linkedin, BenchmarkEmail, etc.
- Ability to collaborate with other team members, work independently, and prioritize tasks.
- Can communicate visual information and rationale behind design choices and applications as needed.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
Qualifications / Education / Experience:
- Degree in Design preferred with 3-5 years experience in graphic design work at an agency, brand, or industry equivalent.
- Excellent visual communication skills
- Applicant must have work samples to be considered (Please limit your file size to under 2MB)
- Excellent skills in 2D (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of cosmetics/personal care is advantageous but not required
- The ability to take direction is a must
- This role requires someone who is a fast learner
