The ETF Product Manager will be responsible for leading the product strategy, development and management of the firm’s ETN and ETF offerings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in launching U.S.-listed ETFs, conducting in-depth research on the ETF landscape, and using competitive analysis to inform product development. They will also support the current product shelf, ensuring products remain relevant and competitive, while proposing new ETF solutions based on market insights and evolving investor needs.
Responsibilities
ETF Product Development & Launch support
- Lead the end-to-end process of developing and launching our U.S.-listed ETFs.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including portfolio managers, legal, compliance, marketing, and external service providers to ensure successful product launches.
- Coordinate with the sales and marketing team to develop positioning and messaging for new products.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct thorough research on the ETF landscape, including emerging trends, competitive products and market dynamics.
- Produce competitive analyses to identify market opportunities and threats.
- Leverage research insights to support product innovation and strategy, ensuring the firm’s ETF offerings remain competitive and aligned with investor demand.
Product Shelf Management
- Support the management of the existing ETF product shelf, ensuring ongoing relevance and competitiveness.
- Analyze product performance, investor trends, and competitive positioning to make recommendations for improvements, closures, or new product development.
- Work with marketing and distribution teams to optimize existing products’ visibility and adoption in the market.
New Product Proposals
- Use market insights, competitive research, and investor demand to develop business cases for new ETF products.
- Present new product ideas to senior management, including detailed analysis of target markets, competitive differentiation, and potential growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales and investment teams to ensure new products align with the firm’s investment philosophy and capabilities.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Support compliance and legal teams to ensure products meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Partner with the distribution, sales, and marketing team to support the promotion and distribution of ETF products.
- Liaise with operations and fund administration teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective product operations.
Investor Education & Marketing Support
- Collaborate with marketing to develop educational materials, product fact sheets, and other collateral that communicate the value and strategy of the ETF products.
- Assist in preparing presentations and reports for clients, advisors, and other stakeholders.
Product Performance Monitoring
- Regularly review and assess the performance of the firm’s ETFs in comparison to benchmarks and competitors.
- Monitor key performance metrics such as AUM growth, trading volumes, and liquidity, identifying areas for improvement or repositioning.
Qualifications
- Progressive experience in the asset management industry, specifically within ETF product management and development.
- Proven experience in launching U.S.-listed ETFs.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. ETF market, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of leading multiple projects simultaneously.
