The Museum of Science Fiction is currently designing a digital twin of an eventual physical facility and is looking for volunteers to help build it and establish an immediate VR museum simulation. As a nonprofit 501c(3) organization, we have assembled a large all-volunteer team and have successfully crowd-sourced our programs, activities, and events since 2013.
The Museum of Science Fiction believes that science fiction is rich with ideas that can serve as a springboard for curiosity and seeks to make a measurable positive impact on STEAM-related educational activities. Based on the belief that science fiction holds educational value for all ages, the Museum is creating a VR experience that will educate and spark interest in STEAM through science fiction. The VR Museum, in its final form, will consist of a major entrance hall, seven themed galleries, and outside spaces. The seven galleries include: Creators, Time Travel, Lifeforms, Computers and Robots, Vehicles, Technology, and Other Worlds.
If you are a senior VR 3D model designer and would like to volunteer for just a few hours a week, we would love to hear from you!
