Responsibilities
- In-depth knowledge and expertise of database technologies
- Engineer solutions that meet/exceed expected reliability uptime standards
- Manage and support development, test, and production databases
- Analyze and organize raw data
- Build data systems and pipelines
- Evaluate business needs and objectives
- Conduct complex data analysis and report on results
- Build algorithms and prototypes
- Combine raw information from different sources
- Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
- Develop analytical tools and programs
- Provide support and troubleshooting as needed
- Develop and maintain documentation and development standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related IT field preferred
- Five (5) years relevant experience
- Secret clearance a plus
- Strong knowledge on MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis and other open-source databases
- Knowledge of other databases like MSSQL, Oracle, and Mongo a huge plus
- Knowledge of programming languages (Jave, Python, C#, C++)
- Proven ability to work independently or as an integral member of a team
- Excellent communication and documentation skills - ability to work with development teams
- Data engineering certification is a plus
