What To Expect
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Program Manager to support our development teams and supplier partners in program management of direct supply chain components and materials within the vehicle interiors commodity. These could include specific parts related to all of our automobile programs (Model S, Model X, Model 3, Model Y, Cyber truck and Semi truck), as well as future developments. Tesla is a fast moving, dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success. This role will report to our Group Manager and in parallel be an active resource supporting our various Engineering and Purchasing groups within Tesla. They will be a member of our Supply Chain Organization supporting the development, implementation, and management of strategies to provide Tesla with optimal supply assurance, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance. This role will leverage strong working relationships with our purchasing & engineering teams to ensure key suppliers are meeting, timing and delivery targets are met while mitigating launch cost. They will work toward good supplier relationships and total costs of ownership to achieve maximum advantage for Tesla and our customers.
What You'll Do
Define and manage fastener development and joint design programs, ensuring all activities have cross-functional alignment and visibility, and working closely with design engineering to drive these programs to a targeted, on-time completionDefine and manage design validation programs, ensuring that these programs consistently hit milestones, and that output is accurately cataloged and reportedCharter, plan, and drive to completion technology roadmap projects that will define the design and execution strategies of future engineering programsTrack, visualize, and present project data & information to stakeholders and their management teams.Structure timelines and drive to completion activities pertaining to concern resolution around the launch of new programs, including root-cause analysis, countermeasure development, and countermeasure validationAnalyze design and validation requirements for future programs to enable the efficient allocation of resourcesRepresent Supply Chain team for risk mitigation and escalation discussions with Executive team, in collaboration with commodity Group Manager
What You'll Bring
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Engineering Management, or evidence of experience and exceptional ability3+ years experience in program management with automotive, engineering or manufacturing experienceExcellent communications skills with ability to influence cross functional stakeholders: Programs, Design, Global Supply Management, Supplier Industrialization, Planning, Logistics, New Program Introduction and FinanceBias for action, strong organizational and presentation skills, and resource management ability are criticalDemonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve business objectives and can establish business process issues and drive process improvementAbility to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders and has organizational skills to manage transactional details

Expected Compensation
$68,000 - $228,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
