⚡ The Company:

Our client is a pioneering leader in advanced battery technology, working with leaders in the EV battery value chain to tackle the biggest environmental challenge at the moment - the cathode.

Their green process to produce cathode active material (CAM) scales much more efficiently, reducing cost of both construction and operation of plants.

⚡ The Role:

The CTO will spearhead the company’s technology strategy, focusing on the development and commercialization of cutting-edge Cathode Active Materials. As a key member of the executive team, the CTO will oversee R&D, manage cross-functional technical teams, and drive partnerships to advance battery material innovations from concept to large-scale production.

⚡ Key Responsibilities:

Define and execute the technology roadmap, particularly around next-generation Cathode Active Materials.
Lead R&D initiatives to enhance performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability of battery materials.
Drive innovation, IP development, and collaboration with external partners in academia and industry.
Oversee pilot-to-production transition, ensuring technical validation and commercial readiness.
Mentor and lead a high-performing R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

⚡ Required Qualifications:

MS or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of leadership experience in battery technology, with deep expertise in Cathode Active Materials.
Proven track record in R&D, commercialization, and scaling of advanced materials.
Strong industry knowledge of Lithium ion batteries and emerging market trends.
