GDH Consulting is hiring a highly skilled and motivated Analytics Developer II to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in improving the quality and accessibility of data solutions, focusing on detecting and preventing fraud, waste, and abuse within government-sponsored health programs. Responsibilities
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and develop, design, and maintain efficient data dashboards, reports, and datasets.
- Apply statistical techniques and data mining methods to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
- Perform source data analysis, including data profiling, validation, conceptual and logical data modeling, to assess the suitability of source data for program requirements.
- Create scripts for data comparisons and automated validations of reports, identifying anomalies.
- Develop maintainable code with proper structures and comments, adhering to best practices in design.
- Validate report data thoroughly to build trust in the Business Intelligence solutions provided to end users.
- Collaborate across analysis, design, data modeling, data staging, and report development phases.
- Review, interpret, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL queries for enhanced performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with at least 2 years of experience in the data engineering field.
- Understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing principles.
- Experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in big data analytics and stream processing frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, tools, and platforms (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure preferred) and managing data solutions in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala, and frameworks for data manipulation and transformation (e.g., Apache Nifi, Elastic Search).
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance practices.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
