We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage all tasks necessary to accomplish the organization’s payroll processing objectives. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability in maintaining payroll-related activities for all employees. This includes managing payroll records, timesheets, deductions, year-end statements, and resolving payroll discrepancies through knowledge and application of laws and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Collect, compile and process timesheets and other related data for the entire workforce.
- Process payroll information such as employment data, hours worked, rates of pay, adjustments, deductions, etc.
- Maintain payroll operations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Prepare, verify, reconcile and issue payrolls, pay statements and related reports.
- Interface with colleagues and external parties to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies through information analysis and working collaboratively with HR department and management.
- Maintain complete confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive information.
- Uphold knowledge of legislative changes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal regulations.
- Assist in payroll accounting duties, including journal entries, accruals, and payroll analysis.
