Role: Senior Program Manager

Location: Remote (must be local to Seattle or Los Angeles)

Duration: 9-months w/ potential to extend and convert to FTE

Pay Rate: $70-75/hour

Position Overview:

A renowned broadcasting enterprise is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join their News & Entertainment team in redefining the future of media and entertainment through innovative digital experiences and cutting-edge technology. This role will work closely with design, product, and technology teams to shape and drive the development of high-impact digital products. You will be responsible for planning, managing execution, and ensuring the successful delivery of design projects that support iconic brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with Design leadership to organize projects, allocate resources, and support overall team welfare to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
Manage and drive execution of high-profile product and software development programs for brands in the news and entertainment sectors.
Identify and resolve project blockers that hinder designers from achieving goals, utilizing data-driven methodologies and stakeholder engagement.
Lead project ceremonies with a focus on team health, accommodating time zone differences, and promoting work-life balance.
Proactively identify gaps in project scope and ensure all necessary resources are available prior to project intake.
Ensure timely delivery of design solutions by maintaining a balance of quality, speed, and scope.
Oversee project progression from initiation to launch, facilitating cross-functional communication and managing dependencies.
Maintain documentation and dashboards for real-time insights into project status and resource availability.
Foster strong relationships with engineering, product, and other teams to ensure alignment and progress.

Basic Qualifications:

8+ years of relevant experience in complex program management roles.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, particularly within media, broadcasting, or streaming technologies.
Proficiency in Agile or Waterfall methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile).
Strong understanding of UX/UI design processes and creative workflows.
Proven experience leading large teams on high-profile, complex projects.
Expertise with JIRA and Confluence, including workflow administration and customization.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to secure buy-in across departments.
Experience managing project risks and ensuring smooth, timely project delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
Experience managing design delivery processes for high-profile news and entertainment products.
