As a Copywriter in a Video Services group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how consumers around the world discover and enjoy original shows and movies on a leading streaming platform. We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized writer and editor with deep experience writing about movies and TV shows to help create engaging, customer-facing copy.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized writer and editor to help craft customer-facing messaging for a streaming platform. Based in Culver City, this role is responsible for writing and refining copy that supports original shows and movies. The ideal candidate is a top-notch writer and skilled editor who can collaborate across various teams to ensure creative vision is captured in the copy. They will inspire viewers to discover each original by utilizing a distinctive voice and tone. The role involves articulating a high-level vision while diving into details, with experience collaborating with executives to understand and support key priorities. The ideal candidate must be a brilliant communicator, both spoken and written, with deep knowledge and passion for TV and movies.
Key Qualifications:
- 8+ years of work experience.
- Extensive experience as a writer and editor in the TV, movies, and pop culture space.
- Ability to manage accelerated timelines and shifting deliverables while prioritizing, communicating trade-offs, and staying on track.
- Experience collaborating with various teams (Marketing, Product, and Design) to tell stories in online environments.
- Exceptional communication, cross-departmental collaboration, and planning skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience driving editorial strategy and working hands-on to bring that vision to life.
