Role Description:
As the Founding Product Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping our product vision and strategy. You will be responsible for understanding the competitive landscape, conducting customer discovery, defining product requirements, and leading the execution of product plans. This is a unique opportunity to build a product from the ground up, working closely with the founders and cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to market. Your insights and leadership will be instrumental in steering the company's direction during this pivotal pre-seed stage.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and articulate a clear product vision that aligns with the company's mission and market needs.
- Define the product roadmap, setting priorities based on business goals and customer feedback.
- Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation within the marketing and advertising space.
- Engage with potential customers to gather insights and validate product concepts.
- Conduct interviews, surveys, and usability tests to inform product decisions.
- Translate product vision into detailed requirements and prototypes.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.
- Manage the product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
- Work with the design team to create intuitive and impactful user experiences.
- Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies.
- Foster open communication across all teams to align efforts and achieve common goals.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
- Analyze product performance data to make informed decisions and iterate on the product.
- Act as a product evangelist both internally and externally, sharing the product vision and value proposition.
- Mentor and guide team members as the company grows, contributing to a culture of innovation and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, preferably in high-growth startups.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing products from concept to market.
- Experience in the marketing, advertising, or related technology sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in product management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Jira, product roadmapping tools).
- Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience conducting customer discovery and user research.
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and working with design teams.
- Technical background or understanding of software development processes.
- Contributions to product management thought leadership or community.
