Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily accounting operations, including General Ledger management, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable processing.
- Process payroll for over 50 employees with precision.
- Generate monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations, and payroll journal entries.
- Conduct thorough accounting research and general ledger reconciliations.
- Supervise the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
- Prepare trial balances and documentation for tax obligations.
- Perform payroll tax reconciliations and handle business property tax returns.
- Design and analyze spreadsheets as necessary for reporting.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in payroll processing for a workforce exceeding 50 employees.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in General Ledger and Accounting.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and payroll software (e.g., Zenefits), as well as vendor payment platforms like BILL.
- Robust knowledge of financial statement preparation, payroll processing, and employee benefits administration.
- Strong budgeting and cash flow management capabilities.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general office software.
- Experience as an Assistant Controller is advantageous.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
