Description
Markon’s partner company is seeking a Expert-level Systems Engineer to join our program supporting a key IC government customer.
Responsibilities
Identify complex problems, document, and clearly articulate option of resolution to the customer.
Engineer solutions for physical and virtual environments, with a goal to responsibly virtualize systems that are compatible for cloud environment services.
Monitor existing infrastructure, identify, and coordinate implementation changes to address problems or engineering changes with little to no impact to the end users.
Researching and engineering a new system to manage the distribution of updates and hotfixes across domains.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Candidates must have 11+ years related experience and a bachelors in similar field, or masters with 9 years of experience.
Must Have experience with Powershell.
Windows Server Update Services, WSUS, knowledge and hands on expertise across various enclaved environments.
Demonstration of Tier3 and Tier 4 troubleshooting skills.
Demonstrated experience with Server OS 2021R2, 2016 and 2019.
Demonstrated knowledge of Active Directory, DNS and DCHP.
Experience with load balancers.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with VMWare 4.5 -Sx, Microsoft HaperV2008 and 2012R2 (Microsoft Data Center service is a plus).
Microsoft Data protection Manager (DPM) 2010 or higher.
Experience with scripting in Powershell, VB, C#.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Candidate must be able to work independently or with a team.
Candidate must have the ability to adjust and learn new technologies.
Experience writing enterprise level technical standards documentation and diagrams.
Proven excellent customer service skills.
