Job Overview
We invite applications for the Oracle Developer position, where you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of our Oracle database systems. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct the installation and upgrades of database-related software, ensuring seamless operations through scheduled patching.
- Oversee database performance to guarantee high uptime and availability; promptly addressing any connectivity, access, or security challenges.
- Optimize long-running SQL queries using tools such as AWR, ASH, ADDM, and Profiler to improve system performance.
- Assess and refine existing database tasks and processes to better align with organizational priorities.
- Facilitate database migrations across several Oracle versions (12c, 19c, and 21c) utilizing data pump export/import and RMAN database duplication methods.
- Leverage your expertise in OCI/Exadata design, migration, and administrative tasks to enhance our database environments.
- Implement cron and operating system scripting for effective database maintenance and diagnostics.
- Review the current database implementation and propose, execute, and oversee necessary enhancements.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Oracle Database Administration for versions 12c, 19c, and 21c on both Linux and Windows Servers.
- Expertise in setting up, installing, patching, and upgrading Oracle databases.
- Experience in the backup, restoration, and duplication of Oracle databases.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Control support and administrative practices.
- Advanced skills in performance tuning for Oracle databases, utilizing relevant analysis tools.
- Competence in administering Oracle databases within OCI/Exadata environments.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining and supporting Oracle databases.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, complemented by substantial technical experience or equivalent skill sets.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively using standard requirements and design documents.
