We are thrilled to present an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Master Data Management (MDM) and Customer Data Platform (CDP) Developer to become an integral part of our Customer Data team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development and implementation of our MDM and CDP, overseeing seamless integration across diverse data sources to bolster our organization’s data-driven decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and operational support for the Master Data Management platform utilizing IBM InfoSphere MDM Advanced Edition (version 12.x).
- Tailor the Probabilistic Matching Engine (PME) in IBM MDMv12 to align with specific business requirements.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and technical architects in customizing MDM modules, including Real-time MDM APIs and Duplicate Suspect Processing.
- Investigate and resolve data synchronization challenges between MDM and associated systems, ensuring high-quality data governance.
- Enhance and maintain our Customer Data Platform (CDP) to drive insightful data-driven strategies and customer engagement.
- Generate ad-hoc reports derived from IBM MDMv12 data for operational insights.
- Monitor customer behavior and preferences to cultivate personalized marketing initiatives.
- Oversee the design and deployment of both CDP and MDM modules, ensuring data accuracy and security protocols are upheld.
- Ensure the effective integration of the CDP and MDM with various data sources, such as CRM and analytical tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, analytics, and IT to comprehend data requirements and provide effective solutions.
- Design scalable data architectures that support the overall data strategy of the organization.
- Continuously optimize the performance of both CDP and MDM platforms.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation detailing the CDP and MDM architecture and procedures.
- Develop and manage Snowflake ELT processes for integrating data from multiple sources into the CDP.
- Uphold data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all customer data sources.
- Support data governance and compliance with regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
- Develop machine learning models focused on customer segmentation and predictive analytics.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the CDP to ensure peak performance and timely issue resolution.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and breakthroughs relevant to customer data platforms and analytics.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and data engineers.
Required Skills
- Over 8 years of experience with customer data platforms such as SimonData, HighTouch, Segment, or comparable tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Python, SQL, and JavaScript.
- Strong expertise in CDP platforms like HighTouch or Epsilon.
- Experience with cloud-based data storage solutions including AWS and GCP.
- Familiarity with Snowflake Data Warehouse and data pipelines.
- Knowledge of machine learning and data analytics.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven experience in API integrations, web services, and data cleansing.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and data privacy standards like CCPA and GDPR.
Qualifications
- Proven background as a Lead Developer or in a comparable position, ideally within the retail or apparel sectors.
- Relevant certifications in technology or methodologies are a plus.
- Strong understanding of database modeling and technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
