Description – Business Intelligence Analyst
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Intelligence and Market Research team. This pivotal role involves leveraging data and analytics to drive informed decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of business intelligence tools and methodologies, as well as a strong analytical and inquisitive mindset.
You will be tasked with developing, implementing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that cater to the unique requirements of our stakeholder projects. Your efforts will contribute to enhancing operational efficiency, improving project deliverables, and fostering a data-informed culture within the organization. Working closely with various internal and external resources, you will gather, interpret, and analyze data to inform strategic initiatives, address business challenges, and support senior management in decision-making. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be instrumental in translating data into actionable intelligence, enabling the organization to maintain its competitive edge in the Commercial and Industrial construction sectors and achieve its long-term objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain intelligence dashboards and reports to visualize business, industry, and construction project performance.
- Conduct in-depth opportunity mapping to identify untapped market segments and potential growth areas.
- Gather and analyze competitive intelligence to assess the strengths, weaknesses, and strategies of competitors.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within the construction industry.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to stay ahead of market changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve project and business outcomes.
- Implement and optimize business intelligence tools and processes for more efficient data management.
- Monitor and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting systems.
- Assist in preparing presentations for senior management about business insights and assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Market Research, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Proficiency in database management and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of SQL and statistical analysis techniques is preferred.
- Able to demonstrate proficiency with Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex data insights effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating initiative and independence.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and project requirements.
