E-Commerce & Performance Marketer – Remote Work Position (Full or Part-Time)
Well, hello there!
deep ocean, a venture fund and brand incubator that owns and operates several consumer brands in the wellness and beauty space, is seeking a fun-loving entrepreneurial and resourceful candidate to manage performance marketing across all verticals in the paid media mix. This innovative individual will be working across multiple brands and helping to expand their reach through different consumer lenses and segments. Seeking contract performance marketer to help across multiple consumer lifestyle brands. This candidate must have experience in lifestyle brands and be very data driven to optimize media spend and performance.
Please have experience managing digital marketing campaigns to acquire new customers, retain existing customers as well as knowledge of how the earned media and creative digital ecosystem are essential to the performance marketing strategy. Experience or desire in working with small start-up indie brands would be preferred as this position will be actively managing the campaigns directly themselves (little to no agency help).
Candidates with experience also managing the Amazon paid media ecosystem will receive preference and be entitled to additional compensation above and beyond the current hiring range, but is not required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Program & Systems Design: Build and set up all paid media ecosystem from scratch – pretend the brand is launching D2C on Day 1 and nothing has been set up.
- Strategy Development & Execution: Turnkey design and implement performance marketing strategies focused on increasing awareness and conversion. Develop and optimize campaigns across search, social media, display, video, and other digital platforms, while also leveraging traditional media as needed.
- Analyzing performance: Regular and systematic tracking / reporting on KPIs such as click-through rate, conversion rate, and cost-per-acquisition.
- Optimizing campaigns: Identifying trends and insights to optimize performance and spend.
- Collaborating with teams: Working with our creative teams to develop ad content and with the marketing team to optimize audience strategies.
- Managing budgets: Working within a budget to reach KPIs while keeping CAC and ROAS at an optimal level.
Position Details:
· Fully remote position, although you are welcome to work with us in Los Angeles if you want to feel the vibes of real humans.
· Open to full OR part-time Contractor position – if you do a similar job for multiple clients or brands, this can be for you! Your performance will be determined by the growth of your channel’s revenue and profit.
