TWENTY4 PR | PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN:
Twenty4 PR is looking for an unpaid Public Relations Intern to join the team working with clients across film, TV, music, events, and brands. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, maintain the highest level of confidentiality, be able to work in an extremely fast-paced environment, and stay composed in high-pressure scenarios. Candidate also must be able to multi-task under quick deadlines and have a solution-oriented mindset. For the right candidate, there is opportunity to grow within the company and offers full training in personal publicity. This position has potential to lead to a rewarding career as an entertainment publicist. As this is an unpaid internship, Twenty4 PR offers class credit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor press clippings daily for client coverage and service.
- Mange and coordinate the schedule for senior employees.
- Draft written materials for clients such as schedules, offers, updates, etc. Draft press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials under the guidance of senior PR staff.
- Compile targeted press lists and audits for pitching and outreach.
- Maintain press kits and client written materials (bios, press releases, etc.)
- Coordinate logistics for press events, interviews, and other PR activities.
- Create, manage, and coordinate both client and supervisor schedule/confirmations for interviews, photo shoots, press days and press tours.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing PR materials.
- Assist in managing communication channels, including social media platforms, to engage with the audience and promote positive brand image.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must live in San Diego, CA or Los Angeles, CA.
- Progress towards completion of and actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of Public Relations, Journalism & Mass Communications, Communications, or Marketing Communications. Qualified candidates will have at least a 3.0 GPA and are Juniors or Seniors.
- Previous internship or work experience in public relations and communications is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive nature that is focused, sharp, and has a hard-working spirit.
- Comfortable calling and interacting with media contacts beyond email communication.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a creative, team environment.
- Be extremely well-organized and able to work in a supremely fast paced, entrepreneurial-styled environment.
- A creative, solution-oriented thinker and a multi-tasker who can meet deadlines and manage several projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING A TWENTY4 PR INTERNSHIP?
Interns will experience the daily rhythm of agency client work. Twenty4 PR interns work side-by-side with our team, attend remote client meetings and are responsible for projects that are assigned according to their level of experience and skill set. Internships are un-paid, typically three to six months in length, and may lead to full-time employment.
