What You Would Get To Do
FIRST is seeking a
Project Manager- Data & Analytics to support our IT team. The Project Manager- Data & Analytics is responsible for overseeing data-driven projects from inception through completion, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints. The role focuses on managing and executing projects related to data engineering, analytics, reporting, and data governance, collaborating closely with IT, business analytics, data engineering, and other business teams. The Project Manager will ensure alignment between the data solutions and organizational goals, applying both IT project management and data management principles to drive project success.
This role will be a part of the IT department working closely with the business analytics team and data governance.
Your Contributions
- Prioritize the project requests in conjunction with the team.
- Supervise the work products of the data group through sprints for projects working with the team and business users.
- Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
- Manage initiatives that spans to one or multiple lines of business.
- Manage the day-to-day project activities and facilitates the project management team meetings.
- Manage project scope via defined change control process.
- Track ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution.
- Track external vendor relationships, resources, and communications.
- Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.
- Report on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, budget, risks and issues, communicating across leadership.
- Deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to project team and key stakeholders.
- Track resource and cost estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of each project.
- Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Prioritize the most impactful projects working with business stakeholders and the data team.
- Contribute to the evaluation of staff following project completion.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, and innovation within the department, exemplifying and instilling the organization's core values (ACE IT) in all aspects of project management delivery.
- Act as a mentor to junior members of the team providing guidance and support where necessary.

- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- 2-3 years of experience managing data projects, including data migration, analytics implementations, and data infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with agile methodologies is a plus.
- PMP (Project Management Professional).
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner).
- Certification in data governance or analytics (e.g., DAMA).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello).
- Proven track record of delivering data projects on time and within scope.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data architecture, analytics platforms, and business intelligence tools.
- Understand and be able to clearly articulate business drivers for a project.
- Manage formal and informal project communication amongst team and with other project participants using methods appropriate to audience and type of communication.
- Facilitate scope management for applicable deliverables.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing cross-functional and technical teams.
United States Residents: The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000-$125,000. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
