firstPRO is now accepting resumes for a Part Time Data Analyst specializing in Marketing/Sales. This is a 3+month contract and fully remote. Must reside in MA.
The Data Analyst, Marketing & Sales Analyst will have the core responsibility of supporting our data team’s capacity to tap into the rich reservoir of our business data (across marketing and sales) to unlock our business excellence. This important position’s support includes collecting, transforming, exploring, and explaining— through skilled, story-telling analysis — the critical insights needed to reliably empower our teams for success.
Responsibilities
- Generate in-depth analyses and reporting based on multiple data sources to measure the effectiveness of marketing, sales, and other efforts in a multi-divisional global environment. This may include developing, manipulating, maintaining, and presenting data, dashboards, reports, and analyses to support the following:
- Marketing campaign conversions, efficiencies, and closed-loop attributions (downstream).
- Deep-dive business analysis — modeling insights related to verticals, markets, applications, products, sales and partner activities, accounts, competitors, and more.
- Helping facilitate reliable website, page/content, traffic, and customer journey insights.
- Spend, forecasting, pipeline activities, and performance to plan.
- Sales inventory, pricing, and backlog reporting.
- Project management and execution efforts internally and in collaboration with outside teams, vendors, and agencies.
- Curation and maintenance of custom metrics, variables, events, scripts, and other data flow/architecture elements.
- Support technical situations within A/B testing and marketing automations.
- Follow-up for questions and requests from teams and key stakeholders.
Additional Areas of Responsibility
- Support data updates across multiple platforms: Power BI, Google Analytics/Tag Manager, Google Cloud Platform/BigQuery, Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Fivetran, Episerver CMS, Agility - Product Inventory Management, SAP, Azure/SSO, Oracle, and others.
- Provide training, consultation, and process documentation as needed to internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct QC and troubleshooting for data integrity, tracking methods, reports, tools, platforms, pipelines, & processes.
- Support efforts to update CRM data, processes/workflows, scripts, and tools.
- Research AI with us, alongside all new tools, technologies and strategies designed to further optimize analytics, data governance, and organizational performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in data, analytics and reporting functions working in enterprise-scale environments (both B2B and B2C preferred).
- Minimum 1+ years of experience specifically working with marketing and sales data and analytics or equivalent certifications and training.
- Hands-on experience with intermediate SQL querying, relational databases, data models, connecting to servers/database engines, or ETL workflows.
- Strong proficiency with Power BI (or related BI tool) and digital analytics (Google Analytics, cost per click analytics, social ad and organic analytics, email automation analytics, etc.).
- Proficiency with general sales data and any CRM platform (Microsoft Dynamics a big plus!).
Additional experience that would be nice to have but not required:
- Knowledge Google Cloud Platform/Big Query, Looker Studio, HTML, and JavaScript.
- Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and/or Python.
- Knowledge of Marketo or related marketing automation platforms.
- Experience working with SAP, Azure, and Oracle.
