Job Overview
We are in search of a dedicated and talented Proposal Manager to become an integral part of our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with the creation of meticulously researched and high-quality proposals that effectively convey our unique value propositions to prospective clients. Your proficiency in energy services, sustainability consulting, and regulatory frameworks will play a critical role in crafting persuasive narratives. Collaboration with various cross-functional teams will be essential in developing customized proposals that resonate with client expectations, industry benchmarks, and regulatory stipulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the proposal development process from inception to completion, which includes researching, drafting, editing, and formatting proposals for energy efficiency services, sustainability consulting, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, and regulatory compliance.
- Customize each proposal to align with the specific needs of clients, ensuring adherence to RFP requirements, industry standards, and our service offerings.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (engineering, sales, finance, and legal) to compile necessary information and accurately reflect our capabilities.
- Ensure that all proposals comply with regulatory, client, and industry standards, including adherence to local, state, and federal sustainability legislation.
- Oversee multiple proposal submissions concurrently, tracking deadlines, guaranteeing timely submissions, and coordinating input from diverse stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance by reviewing and editing content for clarity, grammar, and consistency, resulting in polished, client-ready documents.
- Perform research on potential clients, market trends, and competitors to craft compelling narratives that highlight our competitive strengths.
- Engage in post-submission debriefs to collect feedback, pinpoint areas for improvement, and refine proposal processes for future opportunities.
Required Skills

- Experience managing multiple projects under stringent deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with RFP and RFQ processes and proposal management software is advantageous
- Exceptional attention to detail, producing accurate, client-ready documents with minimal oversight
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing, ideally within the energy, sustainability, or consulting sectors.
- A solid understanding of energy efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance services (such as GHG inventories, energy audits, and building performance standards) is highly desirable.

Compensation And Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is \(80,000 - \)100,000 per annum. Please note that the salary range may vary based on individual education and experience.
