CARV Engineering is looking for the right candidate for a Remote Piping Designer with at least 10 years of Autocad Plant 3D experience.

Responsibilities.

Utilize Autocad Plant 3D software to create 3D models of piping systems.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives and deliver designs that meet client expectations.
Conduct thorough technical reviews of piping designs to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Attend Microsoft Teams meetings to provide expertise on technical aspects related to piping design.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers on piping design techniques and best practices.

Qualifications

6 years of experience as a Piping Designer in the oil/gas pipeline, petrochemical industry or related field.
Proficiency in using Autocad Plant 3D software of piping systems is essential.
In-depth knowledge of piping materials, components, fittings, valves, and equipment used in the oil/gas industry..
Familiarity with pipeline and gas related layout concepts and ability to coordinate with other disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical) for integrated designs.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Effective communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
SoCalGas design experience a major plus.
Knowledge of transmission and distribution pipeline design is a plus.
Knowledge of AVEVA E3D a plus.
